Plumett Cable Pushing Floating Kit

The FLOATING KIT is designed for floating telecommunications and data transmission cables. A flow of pressurized water into a duct supported by an additional mechanical pushing force (SuperJet, CableJet, MicroJet or MiniJet) allows the cable installation.

Advantages:

• Possibility to install very long sections of cable safely over tortuous routes.
• Increased safety for both personnel and cable (reduced friction coefficient by using water).

Characteristics:

• Motor-driven pump feeding water into an injection unit, to be connected on a cable pusher (use within the utilization limits of SuperJet, CableJet, MicroJet and MiniJet).
• The installation distances achieved with the FLOATING KIT depend on the characteristics of the cable and the duct. Parameters such as cable outer diameter, duct inner diameter, linear weight, stiffness and material must be known in advance
• Level differences will cause additional pressure due to the presence of a water column. The maximum allowable level difference within a cable section is 50m (over pressure of 5 bar). Should it be more than 50m, please contact us.
• Temperature: for personnel safety and equipment protection, floating cable at temperatures below 0°C should be avoided (risk of frozen pipes, icy worksite surfaces, etc.)
