Last weekend was not only a fantastic weekends off road racing, but it was testament to what the 4x4 community can do when they pull together. Due to the originally planned Driven To The Edge DTTE at Walters Arena in Wales having to be cancelled at last minute, Danny Roderick put the idea to Richard Crossland from Ultra 4 Europe to see if he could help out. Working closely with John Stones from KORC Kirton Off Road Centre they pulled something out the bag to enable those who wanted to take part meet only 1 week later than the originally planned event, so a HUGE thank you to them for making it all possible!

With regards the to event itself what better way than to read a summary of last weekend by the driver of #123 Mr Daniel Roderick...

"Well I’m not great at all this media jobbie, but I will do my best, the Rampage at Kirton this weekend was lots of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. After years of wanting a ride in the racer My dad, Dave Roderick joined me for what was to be really fun weekend of close racing. The picture I have shared pretty much sums our weekend up. It was mostly spent giving it hell to chase Flying Philon Parpottas and his new untouchable form. Apart from an electrical gremlin on our first heat the JS Customs racer never missed a beat. We were very lucky to have a team of great friends come along to make it all possible too. Thanks to Tom Lundstrom, Kurt Conyngham, Kelvin Gilman, Dean Delaney, James Addenbrooke and Simon Davis for their help. Also this weekend was Ryan Jenkins debut in his beautifully built defender race car. It was great to share a pit with Ryan and his lovely team of friends and family and we all helped each other out. Can’t wait for the next outing where ever it maybe. Also a big thanks to my sponsors (my computer skills means tagging them eludes me) Winch Systems, COMEUP Winch, SJD Off Road, 711 4x4, JS customs and also soon to be on board, DT engine solutions. Also a big thanks to Paul Lundstrom who despite being on what seems to be everyone’s dream vacation always makes sure he does all he can to help me out."
